While I was centering the wheel and rear with my new tire/wheels I noticed the tires rub on the inner part of the wheel well. I have it centered with an adjustable panhard bar and LCA's and I still get some rubbing. I haven't heard of people having issues with inner rubbing and heard of people swapping 315's with these wheels. I am running a 295 tire so what gives? Wrong offset?

Are you lowered? My 295/30/18s rubbed on my old lowered car. I had to BFH the inner fenderwells.

I had to massage the inner fenders with a sledge hammer to clearance them for the tires. The 10.5 wheels are close to the right backspacing but still require some clearance to be added to prevent rubbing. I also had to trim my bumpstops as they hung up on the wheel when put on a hoist.

Yep, BFH mod that sucka & forget about it. Very typical issue for alot of tires over 275 width especially once you go up to a 18" wheel/tire combo.

You're running 295 40 series right? I'm assuming the 40 series has more tire bulge than the typical 35 series most people run. My 295 35's have only rubbed a couple times on extreme hard cornering with a passenger in the car.

Hmm, I kinda don't like the idea of hacking at the inner wall with a hammer. My car is not a show queen but still. If I run spacers I'll have to upgrade the studs and those are a pain in the ***. Fudge, my car is a drain on my money.

Yea, its a 295/40R18. Fronts are 275/40R18, I know it's not the norm and a 35 profile is usually sought for but I like the way they fill in the wheel gap.

BFH it, then use some undercoat chassis spray, and you will barely be able to tell.

Haa ! I have the same problem with mine I just installed last week only mine are 295/35`s, they do rub a little I might run a thin spacer but it took very little hammering at all if any .

Its really no big deal to hammer it man. Just take your time & make it all even & then like suggested respray the area with undercoat & it'll look factory. Only you will know you hammered it, no one will know just looking at it.

Also if you run just a 5/16 spacer you wont need studs & it will help the clearance. So you wont have to do as much BFH.

I heard even a small spacer like the 5/16's you mentioned is questionable for stock studs. If I'm going to run a spacer, I want to feel safe when I haul ***.
