I think its time for tires now I can launch the car pretty good but when I hit second the tires dont chirp they just spin really hard. Are the F1's the best bet for a street car?

I've had the stock good year eagle f1's on my car for a few years now. They have a great life span. I've had them for two years and put about 12,000 miles on them and they still have over half their life left. I'm guessing they go for about 25,000 or longer and thats with about 10 track passes a year as well as some street racing. The only thing that sucks is that they are a hard rubber so they last long, but IMO suck at traction. I can only pull 2.2-2.4 60ft's with them in my m6.
If I get another set of tires I may get them again based on how good of a deal I can get.
Edit* when I slam it into 2nd I spin half way through second as well.

Go BFG or Bridgestone and don't look back.

After a lot of research after viewing this thread I'm going to get Firestone Firehawks after my current tires are gone.
I considered the BFG KDW's but after reading a ton of reviews all over the net, I see people like the KDW's stickiness, but everyone complains they are too noisy compared to the firehawks. The firehawks may not be as sticky as the KDW's but it's not like I'm Autocrossing or anything, just regular driving with the occasional blast up the freeway onramp. Plus the firehawks are cheaper.

The Goodyears are a good tire. However better options and technologies are currently available. Take a look at the Conti Extreme Contact DW or as mention the BFG KDW or Firestone FireHawk Wide Ovals are good options.
