Detroit ZR1 Wheels ordered...
Finally bit the bullet and bought some rims for my car. They are nothing outstanding but, between the cost of tasty wheels and my inability to find any that looked as nice as those on Brians Formula;
So I went with these ZR1 replicas. (306-841-7961C)
I also ordered some new Nitto 555R 275x40x17's outback. This paycheck I got the rears, next paycheck will get the fronts.

On the stretched, yeah. I had called Jegs instead of just ordering them online like I do most stuff with Jegs. I felt that if I talked to a customer rep, I'd have a better chance of getting it right. With that said, I told him I was going to the 17"x 9.5" because of my worries about bumpstops and fender lips. I then went on to say I wanted the Nitto 275x40x17's. He must've wrote that down(the tires) but then, apparently while I was talking about my car, he interrupted to say that he'd googled the wheels and found that the 50mm offset would work fine. I *guess* he was implying that I could get the 50mm with the 17" X 11" in the 50mm and that it would work. I didn't catch that at the time though. Not until I got the tracking info did I see the actual rim size I was being sent. I thought, "oh well, thats a good thing I guess". But then Injuneer told me the 275 would looked stretched on the 11" rims. But they were already on their way. I'll go ahead and burn these Nitto's down and the next pair will be the 315's.
The guy on the phone wasn't extra sharp. I told him I needed Lugnuts for these wheels. He sent my 4.... not four packages, 4 single lug nuts.... Jeez....
On what I paid, delivered to my door just these two 17x11, two Nitto 275/40/17 and four single lugnuts(lol..) with shipping (fedex but not expedited)

___In truth, I was being a bit lazy. I have Jegs magazines/catalogs throughout the house and while killing time (wife or kids getting ready to go) I'd flip thru them and kept seeing these Detroits. I've always liked that design and, since I'd gone through these last pair of Nittos, decided that I needed new rims too. I'd looked at OEWheels site a year or so ago but forgot about them.
___ I just went to their site. You're right. They have a fantastic price ($480 for all four rims and in the perfect sizing of 17"x9.5" on front and 17"x11" out back). But they are out of stock too. Wow... I sure took it on the chin there. Lol.. Live and learn. At least the readers of this thread will know where to go if they want these rims.
I'll end up paying closer to $837 for four of these Jegs ZR1's.

Just wanted to update. Last weekend, I got under the car to swap out the lower control arms. I've had BMR LCA and Panhard for quite awhile but the roads up in this area being crap, I took out the BMR LCA and put stockers back in a few years ago so my eyes would stay in their sockets going over the cracks in the roads.
They've fixed the roads for the most part and so I put them back in. As I jacked up the car by the differential, put the jack stands on the plate for the front of the LCA mounts and lowered the differential, I noticed what Injuneer had said. Even with 50mm offsets, the inner lip of the rim 'just' does catch on the edge of the bumpstop mount and suspends the rim there. Now mind you, my differential is a custom Ford 8.8 hybrid (GM 10 bolt legs on a Ford 8.8 gear housing) so my width may not be perfectly stock.

Got paid today so I ordered the front 17"x9.5" ZR1 (56mm offsets) fronts and 275/40/17 Kumho 7363 - Kumho Ecsta ASX tires. While I'm waiting for those, I just finished installing my new MOOG ball joints and Energy Suspension bushings in the A-Arms.
I'd stripped a spare set of A-arms down to bare metal, painted them with POR-15 and then put in the ball joints/bushings. They look great! I debated on whether to install the refreshed A-arms in with the stock K-member but thought I might as well install the BMR Tubular K-Member I bought back last year while it's all disassembled. The weather here sucks and has been raining flooding for the past several days. I go out and do a little bit here and there till I'm too soaked, then come back in the house for awhile. Wish I still had my garage....

From yesterday...
My two 17" x 9.5" front wheels and tires arrived. I just dropped them off at a shop to get them mounted and balanced. I got the BMR K member in after a little frustration over it hitting my crossover of the turbo's hotside. The A-Arms arm being a little stubborn right now with the new bushings but I'll get them in.
