I was thinking about powercoating the centers of my wheels, leaving the center cap and lip polished, has anyone done this or have pics, was wanting to go towards the 30th Anniversary look. thanks!

I dont think ive ever seen that but what you can do, is buy yourself 3 cans of White Plasti-Dip from Lowe's, Home Depot or online (might not find the white paint in stores).

If you dont know what Plasti-Dip is, its just a non-permanent rubberized coating that you'll be applying. Once dry, you can peel it off whenever you want. Clean your wheels really good & apply a good coat, light coats will be a pain in the *** to remove. Many G8, 5th Gen Camaro, Import owners & lately ppl on this forum have used this on their wheels, body parts, tools & etc. because of its ability to be removed.

This is perfect for you to test out the look you are thinking of, if you dont like it you can just peel the paint right off. If you do like it, well you can rock it like that till you have the money to powdercoat or if you already have the money, peel the paint off and get them powdercoated.

What about the Frosted wheels that were popular back in the 60's and the 70's. They had a Frosted finish but looked almost white themselves.

He means the white the plasti dip is a good idea,I just don't see it looking to good but I could be wrong. On a nbm with white leather, whiteconv top, white gs stripe it might look good
