Default 28x10-16 Hoosier slick on stock 16x8 wheel??

i am a 6spd making 700rwhp, how will these tires hook at the track and on the street? are they safe to run on the stock 16s? also, will they fit without rolling the fenders? my car is at stock ride height.

Thanks everyone!

You can generally go + or - 1 inch as far as tire size vs wheel size. A 10" tire would have a very difficult time fitting on a 8" wheel. If they did fit, you'd probably have to roll fenders, remove bumpstops, and stuff like that.

You ask about hooking on the street. Excellent, but your car will hydroplane like it's nobody's business in the rain. You can't drive a car around everywhere on slicks, there's tread on tires for a reason.

i wasnt planning on driving them daily on the street, just on the weekends or if i have a race. i have regular tires that i drive on daily.

will i have to worry about the tire comming off on a 8 inch wheel? or will i be ok putting that tire on there?

They wouldn't work. Almost surely. I'm fairly sure that you could pick up a set of used WS6 wheels that are 17x9 for like $100 and run them on those, though.

I beg the differ im running a set of 26x11.5 on a set of stock z28 5 stars. No issues with rubbing either. Just becareful as they are VERY dangerous to run in the rain it dont matter how fast your going your skating. I was coming back from the track and still had my et street slicks on it just started to pour like **** and it was scared for my life they was zero traction i was skating on ice the whole way home. Not a very nice feeling driving an hour and half white knuckling thinking to yourself please to dont die.

Well, I've been disproven. Do the tires have a lot of sideways slop?

I've mounted them on a 7.5 rim and had no issues.
