Flat Black Plastidipped C5 Z06 Wheels
Just posting before and after pictures of my hard work. They are going to be installed on a 2000 White Firebird Trans Am WS-6.
What do you think?

Looks good! I remember when I had my stock wheels and there was beggining to be a lot of black on my car, so I decided to try out the plastidip. The flat black looked odd and dirty as hell, I ended up redoing it thicker and then sprayed some clear over it, didn't look like brake dust anymore and almost everyone thought they were painted!

Plasti dip isn't as temporary as you would think. Haha I plasti dipped my stock WS6 rims after I stripped them. I had to restrip them twice and it's still not all the way off:/ just haven't had time to finish them. They looked awesome with the dip though. Not bad for 8 bucks. Haha

Problem is that I want to plastidip all the wheels now and in order to try them out I need to mount the tires. If I decide to go through with the powercoating I would need to take the tires back off and then remount them post powder coating costing me extra $100 in mounting and balancing.
Plastidip is temporary but if I don't touch it it can stay on indefinitely! Touch up on scratches is as easy as pulling out the can for a quick spray.
Do I know you?

I have an actual set of Z06 wheels so 17x9.5 fronts and 18x10.5 rears, but I am selling the rears in favor for 2 more fronts because of fitment issues. (would need to run a pretty large spacer and tire still might rub inside of wheel well without a BFH mod.)

Looks good!!! Never heard of plastidip before. Was going to tell you a flat black ceta mod on your car would look good with the wheels to match but that stuff is only temporary???

Anyhow, I will make my decision to powder coat once I can get these rear Z06 wheels sold or traded for 2 more fronts.

I like it! I'm trying to deside between silver and black myself, right now:
