Best Drag Radial size and Brand?
I'm about sick of tire spin...I need some drag radials.
I have a couple of Qs.
1. I have 17" rims right now, is it better to have drag radials on a 15" rim? or is 17" ok?
2. What brand is better? I'm looking at M&H racemasters.

I was thinking those, but the 200 treadwear rating vs the "0" BFGs or Toyos makes me think they will not stick as well?
I don't care if they wear fast or not, they will not be driven on as a DD.
I have done an intensive search...seems most of the folks here plan to run them as DD tires and have concern about wear mileage. Much to say, that doesn't help make my decision as I dont care about that aspect.

Track only? Why not get slicks?
If you need to run Drag Radials, go 15" with the correct size height (most likely 26" unless you are pushing crazy power). Then a 275/50-15 is what you want. That fits an 8" or 10" wide rim.
Brand would be MT ET Streets or M&H Race Master.
MT is a proven Radial but I've seen great things from M&H as well.
If you don't need the radial, I'd go with something like Hoosier Quick Time Pro bias-ply.

On my old Z28 I ran M/T slicks a few times and had a set of NT555s and they were both good tires. The nittos hooked great on the track and street. And probably the best bang for your buck. I ran a stalled auto w/ 3.73s
