Default What PSI do you run your skinnies at?

Just wanted to check what PSI everyone runs their skinnies at?

I've got the el-cheapo skinnies (25 dollar VW tires) in front...

what's everyone run them at on the street? (i'm at 32psi too low? high?)

How about at the track? (I was figuring 60 at the track?)

whoa doggy..44psi is the max on those things, you will already be running them past their speed rating of 112 on the big end, don't ask for trouble by going anymore PSI than that HOT.
at the track i pump them up to 42-44 HOT, not cold.

on the street i run them at like 35 psi COLD.

i really don't understand why anyone would pump up a tire beyond its max psi when it already has more weight on it than its designed for and being ran well past its speed rating, really NOT a good idea

My tires are rated for 44psi. Speed rating is for sustained high speed travel, a couple seconds over the rated speed isn't going to put the tire at risk.

My old Pepboy 165's were rated at 44psi and I ran them at that psi all the time.

i understand what speed rating is for, if i thought it wasn't safe to run them past that for a short time i wouldn't use them on my car.

i just don't think its safe to run past the psi max on any tire, especially not one that has alot more weight on it than its meant for, that's all.

the .001 you'll maybe gain at the track doing that is not worth the risk IMO
