Default cts-v calipers and wheel offset.

I'm looking for the proper offset for mounting a set of 18 x 8.5 wheels up front. They have to clear a set of 6-puck, CTS-V brembo's.

Remember, steering feel and handling are my number "1" concern! Any proven suggestions or formulas?

Ok... I just got through finding the offset calculator on the top of the forum page...

Alright. Next question... I used to have a set of Enkei 17 x 9.5 WINs on all corners and I loved the improved steering reaction over the stock salad shooters.

Does anyone here know the offset for a set of Enkei WIN wheels? I need that number for the calculator.

What wheels? Are the calipers mounted?

you'll need a 40mm offset to clear the brakes, but it is also dependent on spoke design. I think the WIN wheels were a 38 or 40 offset

Ive got a set of C5 magnesium 18 x 9.5s on all 4 corners currently. The calipers and rotors are mounted. I used a set of old 1-inch spacers that I had sitting around in my shop for testing fittment with the rims.

Ill have to measure the offset of these wheels when I get back home.

What?
The calculator generates its value based on the offset and diameter of your existing wheels. I had a set of enkei's that worked well, so I figured the measurements form those would be a great place to start.

I run a set of WIN's and if I remember correctly, they are 44mm offset.

I would like to eventually do the CTS-V brake upgrade, so please let us know if they work with the Enkei's.
