Thumbs down Pretty Disappointed in the look of 315/35 Nittos.....

Just installed some 315's on my 17x11 ZR1's and i'm pretty disappointed to see they don't look much wider than the front tires at all. I know Nitto is usually a narrow brand, but damn I am real disappointed. From behind, doesn't even look like I have 11's out back...

Oh well, they hook like a MF'er

Sorry man, I thought the same thing. The Nittos just aren't very bulky. Look smaller than a 275 on a 9" wheel.

maybe you guys are nuts but i think the 315 looks very wide. if you have a 11" wide rim it has to be wide. just all in what you are used to. my 275 look wide to me on a 8" rim.

I agree, the 315 nittos do appear on the narrow side compared to other 315s. My 315 BFG G Force KDs look way "meatier" than my 315 Nitto DRs (the BFGs don't hook nearly as well as the Nittos though ). The Nittos also don't shine up as well with tire glaze - kinda grey rather than shiny black, if that means anything to anybody.

315 Nittos are not even close to as wide as 315 KDs.... When I compared a 275 nitto drag to a 275 KD the diffrence was close to an inch

I agree with Gator, I think my 315 Nittos look fat! I think the 315's look bigger on a TT II than a zr1 wheel though.

put some spacers on the back rims so they stick out alittle more. I did that and it made them look alot wider

edit my original response. I was thinking sidewall. My sidewall was very stretched looking and low profile. I did not like that look. As far as width, they are wide as hell!

Spacers on a 50mm offset 17x11 wheel with 315's? That would make it rub the lip of the fender..

I'm not a big fan of the nitto 315's on a 11" rim....... but the BFG's are a different story.

get the tire a lil damp and run over a piece of paper when the Nittos are aired around 20-22psi. Get another 315 and do the same. Measure the actual footprint and youll be suprised. The Nittos run a bit small...but not nearly what youd think. After you measure edge to edge on the paper...look at how much true contact patch is actually there.

Todd, i'm with ya. I know the contact patch is there, these tires hook a LOT better than the 275 Nittos. Even from a first gear roll, when they're hot I can dead hook smackin it @ 25 mph and damn near yank a front tire off the ground

Well I hope to have some 315 Nitto's in the rear here shortly, if Todd would get on the ball of course
