TSW Nurburgrings on!

TSW Nurburgrings on!
Wasn't planning on doing wheels anytime soon, but I came across a deal I couldn't pass up. TSW Nurburgrings in matte gunmetal, 17x9 all the way round with 275/40 rubber. Tires are Cooper Zeon RS3-As that I originally put on my Speedlines back in October. They've been good so far.
And yes before anyone else says it, I know, 4x4 stance. One thing at a time
Now I do have one issue with them. I got them second hand and the center caps are quite loose. So loose that one of them actually fell out on the way home. Luckily I found it on the roadside. They seem to be hard to find replacements for looking around, so I either need to find a cap off another car or from another brand that will fit, or find a way to snug these up. I was thinking maybe wrap some tape around the tabs that hold it in? For now I'll be driving around without center caps so I don't loose them.

lowering will make a big difference in your appearance though & those should look alright once lowered ... i have bmr springs & koni strt's sitting in my garage just waiting for the right day to slap em on

Once I do a 1.25" drop, I think they''ll look fine. The wheel gap is what makes them look small. I know there's a few lowered guys running 17" ccws and fm10s that look killer. I might do the heater hose mod in the mean time just to get the back end down a bit while I slowly gather the lowering parts.

i would like some 18's too in the future, but 17's DO look VERY good lowered properly - when lowered you can't tell much difference between some 17's & 18's, & in the same token no matter wheel size, 16's or 19's, when lowered too much IMO birds look really lame - wheel well meeting tire is just about perfect & a bit higher than that looks really good too - anything further down it looks out of place & throws the whole car off (in most cases - i'm sure there are some out there that pull it off)

You had no problems with the 5x120.00 bolt pattern of the TSWs??
I've had dealers flat out REFUSE to sell me those for our cars, since they claimed the wheels would crack along the bolt holes once hunkered down to the correct torque spec, due to them being smaller than our lug spacing, albeit by the minutest amount.
They claimed that they did not want to be 'liable' for any safety problems.

But generally there is no issue running 5x120s. the difference of .65mm is negligible.

Your wheels look great bro! I love my Nurburgrings too! Interesting your having the issue with your center caps, I think I was able to use a suction cup to remove the ones from my 18" ones but had to pull the wheel to take off the 17" ones as those were on there pretty good. Also please post results of those Honda/acura center caps, I am very interested in those. Right now (not pictured) I have some vinyl firebirds that cover the TSW logo on the center cap and it looks better than I though but I would like something a little better. Here is my setup if you didn't see it already, sitting on some eibach springs (probably sagging a bit) with 17" up front and 18" in the back. I'm pretty satisfied with them and they are very light for the size, lighter than the stock aluminum 16" wheels.

I like these and I am thinking of getting them in 18x9.5 (5x120) on all 4 corners, 40 offset. Are you guys running hub centric rings? I've read some say you've got to have them, others say no need. I know our cars are have a 70.3 bore. I think these are 76.1.

Nothing wrong with 17"s but yes lowering the car will help the overall look.
Regarding your center caps being loose. Use extreme care but you can use a heat gun sparingly along with a bowl or bucket of cold water. Heat the center caps tabs just enough to bend them slightly outward then put them in water to cool in that position.
I love the look of mine and will have no clearance issues once I mount my 2010+ Camaro SS calipers and rotors. Here's one shot of my TSW Nurburgrings in matte black 18"s.
