Default Needling Street Radials

So I'm just curious if anyone has ever experimented with needling a street radial?
I'm wondering if it would be beneficial in anyway? I have some cheap tires that are reallyyyy hard. Wondering what would happen if I took the needled to em

Isn't "needling" used just for dirt oval track tires??

I don't have any experience messing with street tire tread and i'm all for experiments. I would just see what happens? Lay the power on little by little and be careful in corners.
My only real hesitation is the tires chunking under extreme friction (burn out, launch, corners, braking..etc)
What tool(s) are you using?

I honestly was just sitting there looking at tires and seeing maybe if anyone had tried it! I think it would definitely be interesting to see the results!
Definitely wouldn't sipe or anything.

I think the harder rubber of a street tire might not allow it to be "needled"....

Needling tires is an oval dirt track thing. Helps put heat in the tires and helps the tires soak up traction compound, which they typically use lots of. Probably a bad idea for street tires. You will most likely lose grip because you are breaking up tread blocks, the tread will squirm around more giving a poorer road feel, and the tires will overheat easier due to the tread blocks squirming around more.
