Anyone running Nitto 555 G2s?

Anyone running Nitto 555 G2s? I have a 98 Camaro with 18 inch Z06 replicas on the back with 555Rs on at the moment. However even here in SC its getting cold where I'm looking to get those off until next spring.
Has anyone ran these? I'm looking for a tire I can atleast get 30,000 miles out of. I was set on the original 555s but if these are an all around improvement, I'm all for it.

I haven't ran them but would love to. Problem is they aren't offered in a 325/30-19. My next tires will be mounted on OEM C6Z wheels. The original 555's are great street performance tires though. I've had several sets on several different types of vehicles and I love them. They are my go to street tire and have the fewest compromises of any performance street tire I've used. If the new G2's are really as improved as Nitto claims I would love to try them out. With that said I wouldn't be too disappointed if I had to run another set of the original 555's.

Yep. They're great but I live in Florida so I don't have to worry about cold temps. They're excellent in the wet and dry traction is great but I don't drive the car as hard as others might so I'm not sure where their limits are. Running 275x35R18 on 9.5" C5 dish wheels.
Car still has VA plates since I bought a Fiesta ST to drive to work and haven't bothered getting FL plates. Car is for sale as well depending on my mood so I'm not in a huge rush to plate it.

Whats driving me nuts about these tires are that they're only offered in a 40 series for a 295 width for 18 inch rims. If I get a set, Id like the option to be able to rotate front to back. And Im not sure if a 40 series tire will be too tall for the front fenderwells. I do NOT want to have to roll fenders for fitment.

Has anyone compared these more directly to the original 555?
My rears are getting a little thin so I'm starting to watch for deals and noticed they do make these in a 285/40r17 just like the older 555. Downside is they are a little more expensive. Just curious if there is a noticeable improvement before I stick to the cheaper 555.

Anyone out there with 18 inch Z06 replicas running these yet? I'm looking at a set that are just under 27 inches tall for the rear but I would love the option to rotate them to the front as well. 285/40ZR18 105W XL is the size I am looking at.

Discount Direct doesn't list every tire line or size available. Go to manufacturers website, verify what model and size you want, then call DTD and order it.

i disagree. they are not drag radials. sure, if i dump the clutch at any kind of rpm they will go up in smoke. but for a 30000k tire the traction is very good. i bought they 200 miles ago and i love them. i have c5 wheels on my 95z. 17x9.5 in the front with 275/40/17 and 18x10.5 in the rear with 295/40/18. i cannot see running 295 in the front -- thats a huge tire!
