Default Jegs new SSR Spike wheels, installed.

Jegs introduced this new wheel for pre-order while back. The fronts I got pretty quick, but the rears took a few weeks. I got the rears yesterday and got new tires mounted up. I think they look great for the price!!!

Before people loose their **** about Jegs wheels being made in China, and the weight, and all that garbage, these are just for the street pretty much. For the price, you can't beat it!!! I have a full set of Welds for the track.

I picked up a set of the SSR Mags. I noticed them on Jegs, looked up the part number on Summit and they were almost half price. I'm a sucker for a $400 set of wheels. Turns out they are made by Vision wheels and Jegs spas a sticker on the center cap. Quality seems decent enough, they are rated higher then Race Stars and certainly look better. Compared to my old race stars and my friends Welds there is only a 2lb difference which doesn't matter to me. Oddly enough the Welds take the most weight to balance so the overall difference is even less then a lb.

Can you measure a lug hole. Curious if they'll fit over a 5/8 stud.

Those look awesome. Kinda pissed as I just now saw these right after I ordered the ssr mag version. As others have said, you cant beat the price & looks of them. I couldnt tell much difference in weight vs my convo pros they replaced.

What's the price for a full set? I'm thinking maybe a front set of these wheels would look good with my Dark Stars.

hoping I can get mines to sit like yours with this setup on a stock rear end

Diameter & Width: 15 x 8"
Bolts & Bolt Circle: 5-4.75"
Backspace: 4.5"
Offset: 0mm
Hub Bore: 3.27"

With 4.5BS you will end up with about 1 inch of tire outside the wheel well. You need to order 5.5BS for F body. Here is the correct part number: 555-681426 SSRSPIKE 15x8 5-4.75 5.5BS

I ordered the wrong wheel and wasted by money, had to re-order the right one!

I know I'm bumping an old thread but...how well did they clear the brakes?

Did you have to do an crap ton of grinding on the calipers?

On my LT1 car, they bolted right up. On my LS1 car, I had to grind calipers.

Do you have any idea what the wheels weighed? They look awesome and if they are comparable in weight to what I have now I'm going to pick up a set.

No idea on actual weight, but they are not heavy. They weight what you would expect.
