Finally went for it and bought a set of SSR star wheels for a cheap DD drag setup. Rears are 15x8 5.5 bs with 275/60/15 nitto nt555r, the fronts are 17x4.5 with a 26x7.5x17 hoosier prostreet radial. I'm very pleased with the fit and finish of these for how cheap they were. They are slightly on the heavy side but I think they'll hold up well on the street, I also won't feel bad about potentially messing up a skinny while dailying as they're only a little over 100 a piece.

I've been interested in these for some time now. Do they require any caliper grinding for the rear fitment? They look great and the price point is insane. Was set on the JMS wheels until I saw these. Again, they look great!
The rear calipers do require some grinding, mine were mostly just to help clear the wheel weights front and back. I just took down the cooling fins on the back of the calipers and I reshaped the front curved face of the caliper and bracket. It took me maybe 5 minutes per side with a dewalt angle grinder and a new grinding wheel. The front didn't require anything at all for fit.

I didn't weigh them when I got them but I'd say the rears are about the same weight as a stock 16" (19/22 lbs), possibly less, and the fronts are probably a bit lighter.

How are those nitto nt555r's? I've got the MT ET streets on mine and may purchase a 2nd set of wheels/tires for street duty as the ET streets get 5000 miles out of them if that.
They look like the front don't stick out the fender at all. Or is it just the picture angle?
They stick out a little on the bottom where the fender dips into the body, but they tuck under the top of the fender wells.

Honestly the nittos don't hook that great, don't get me wrong, they are super sticky for a tire on a daily, but they wont stick like a Hoosier or a MT. I have them on as daily's so I can get decent miles out of them. Overall theyre much better in the rain than the other options and they last, so a good dd choice. I expect to get 10-15K out of them with minimal burnouts.

I got mine from summit, they are Hoosier Part number 19055. Summit number HOO-19055.
I have SSR intreal GT1 9.5x18 new since 2001 weight 17lb I believe OEMs where 25lb
I thought SSR went out of business years ago, or are SSRs been rebadged
I know Jegs sells them under their own name, with Jegs center caps. But I believe ssr was bought out by vision wheels, and they are now producing them. The Jegs SSR/Vison 571 are identical wheels. One through summit, and one rebranded by Jegs. I could be wrong, but that's what I think to be true.

I don't want to come off like a jerk, but half the information you asked is quite literally in the message you quoted (it's one of the very first things mentioned in the entire thread), and the other half is also found in the thread.
