Default What to expect from M/T ET street S/S?

Just a couple questions about these tires I ordered them a few days ago and they’ll be coming in in the next 2 days. I got them in a 285/35/19. Car isn’t a track car just a street car. Never gets driven in the rain and really only gets driven 2-3 times a week if that. It’s a H/C/I car.

What tire pressure should I run these tires at on the street? Heard anything above 30 you’ll start to wear the inside of the tires pretty good.

Anything I should stay away from doing with these tires? Really only gonna be doing slow rolls 20-30 rolls and digs with them.

How long does the tire really last? I know out of the DR these tires don’t last that long. I’ve had my car for about a year and a half and have just now hit 5k miles since I bought it. Have been driving it a lot less since I bought a actual daily for everyday driving.

just a few things I wanna know before I start driving on them. Can’t wait to actually have a real tire on the back of this car finally!

Id run them around 25 psi on the street. Not gonna be the best handeling tire or great in the rain, so keep that in mind as well. Don't beat the crap out of them and I've seen people get 7-8k out of them

yeah I don’t even drive the car in the rain at all so that’ll be good. And I really won’t be beating the crap out of them probably not in burnouts or anything like that

Your first stab in first gear at mid range rpm is really going to put a smile on your face...

I’ve sold and balanced several sets and they don’t balance well. So expect them to give some vibrations at highway speeds. They were built for traction not comfort so just keep that in mind. Other than that they are great tires

not planning to ever drive with them on the highway really. If I’m planning on going on the high way I’ll jjst throw the set of tires that are on the car now back on

As in hook and book. When I had my '97 SS, roll races where hit and miss whether I would get traction or send the back end fishtailing. I put on some ET streets and when I floored the car for the first time in 1st gear (M6 car) at 3500 rpm, everything I had in the car flew backwards, no spin whatsoever. Such a great feeling.

So glad to here that! Finally got them in the mail today and I can’t wait to get them on my car! It’s a A4 car I’ll just be doing digs and slow rolls with them. Anything will be better than the 245’s that are on the car now

I have a 2001 B4C with 127,000 miles, ran the car at Kinston Drag Strip 3-4 Sundays ago, went 8.62-8.70 five passes 1/8 mile spinning thru 1st & into 2nd, leaving in Drive, this on well worn Pilot 245/50R16. I just put on a set of MT ET Street SS P255/50R16 & tested Thursday nite at Wayne County Dragstrip, 1st pass 8.75 & slowed each pass (5) to 8.94. They hooked with no spin on leave, felt like it pulled rpm down as the car couldn't develop wheel speed as it did spinning during the previous outing. Lowest tire pressure for last three runs 23.5 lbs, maybe i should have tried higher pressure to see where it would spin the tire?

I just installed these about a month ago & couldn't be happier. Being able to stab the throttle at anytime & go straight is really nice! I got used to driving sideways for way too long. Mine balanced out well & I have no issues on the highway either.
