Here we go again. This has been a big debated issue on here and on Camaroz28.com and a lot of guys say that it is unsafe and others say that it is fine. I have them on my car and I think that they are fine. Of course, my car is a garage baby and I put them on for looks only. If I was road racing, I wouldn't be running a 315 on a 9.5 inch rim. Below are some pictures of mine. Do a search and you will se all kinds of arguments.

for a 9.5" rim i'd say you could do it and it would work but like above i wouldn't road race on them...but the stock rim size for our cars are 9" that is where you run into most of the problems...those actually don't look that bad...and i'm definatly not a fan of the 315's on a small rim...

the 315 nitto drag is pretty much the only one you can think about doing, considering it is not as wide as any other 315 out there. it will still look silly and not be safe. just stick to a 275 series untill you get some wide wheels. you can probably get those z06's in a 10.5" width and put a 315 on no problem.

I don't think that this looks silly!

And it is safe, like I have said before, nobody can give a single incident where there has been a tire failure from putting a 315 tire on a 9.5 inch rim.

I know a guy who's punctured two sidewalls from doing just that.

That said, he still runs 315s on 9.5 inch rims
Just be extra careful on your tire pressure.

Yeah, I have always monitored my tire pressure closely. My tires don't have that much buldge to them.

Alot of people run 315 nittos without problems. Nittos are TRUE 315mm so you can get away with it. Try a search, there is plenty of info with pics over this topic
