Those look great. Can you give any info on sizes, BS, and where you bought them. I like my Prostars but want something alittle different to daily drive on.

Thanks,
Andrew

15x4 up front with 1 7/8 bs (fronts weigh roughly 7 lbs)

15x8 out back with 5 7/8 bs (rears weigh roughly 10 lbs)

got them through work (discount tire co) directly from holeshot

not for the faint of heart. require significant grinding front and rear and spacers in front. i have spacers in rear just so they sit even but they arent needed. the nice thing is the wheel face is only 1/2" thick and the spacer is 5/16" so the .75" shank lugs go just about all the way to the hub face which takes a ton of stress off the lugs (not like the welds that are really thick and running spacers with the long shanks)

i think the weight and the fact the no one has them makes up for the work to make them fit. plus they look fuggen badass

I just read your other thread from last year. I have no problem doing whatever it takes to make them work. I like to be alittle different too. Think I could stuff a 15x10 under the rear? I asume a 7.5" BS on a 15x10 should work with these too? I can't seem to find much info on about them searching online. If you could PM me anymore info and maybe a ballpark retail price I'd really appreciate it. Sorry for bombarding you with questions but I think I finally found a drag wheel that I'd like to run on the car 100% of the time.

look like a ripoff of the Bogart Bolted R/T's. Definitely a good looking wheel. Difference with Bogart is no grinding needed.

difference with bogart is they weigh more and are more expensive. and they have a flat face unlike the bolted r/t's which i liked. you could say bogart is ripping off holeshot since they are soon to be releasing a wheel that looks almost exactly like this one (bolted r/t with a flat face). this is the part of the thread where steve from sjm tells me how much my wheels suck and how much better bogarts are, happens everytime, thats why i state it

15x10's will fit, in fact i wish i went with them, but oh well. id call holeshot.1800 drag553

how much more do the bogarts weigh, and do you mind saying how much all 4 rims cost you?

Tally,

I never stated your rims suck or that they are cheap rims. I appologize if you or others felt otherwise. I feel they are in the top 3 rims to consider regarding a true drag rim. They do serve their purpose well as a drag use only track rim. I'm not certain as to how they will hold up for our heavier cars. They are built differently and designed for a different application. Time will tell.

I believe I stated earlier at one point we used to have our spoked area w/less surface area but have found to be problematic w/cracking due to it being a high stress point. I certainly would not consider the rim setup for street use whatsoever due to our past experience. I would imagine the manufacture has warned you also. What's the heat treating on the material, what grade, these do effect costs and quality.

The reason why they are lighter then a Bogart LS1 setup is that they are setup for drag calipers not F-body rotors. Caliper overhang on our cars is very difficult to get around. I can't imagine how much you had to grind if you only added a 5/16th spacer. LS1's have a GOOD 3/4 inch overhang, this meant you took ~7/16th off the face of your caliper or did the center have an additional hub pad?? I believe the center-section is flat and meant for no caliper overhang.

Bogart rims have been around since the early 80's. I would compare these rims to our P2 series which is a race only rim. w/more material removed for ultimate weight losses.

For the question of how much do Bogarts weigh, we can build a runner to ~6.5lbs and a rear 10" to ~9lbs. An LS1 runner weighs ~9lbs and rear weighs ~10.5lbs...weights vary depending on style but this is a pretty good average. There is only so much you can take out of a rim though before it becomes unreliable especially with heavier cars.

Respectfully,

Steve
