HRE's banned says who?
Well, being one of the only people I see running HRE’s I was in shock and depressed all day as you can imagine.
Do some home work, you’ll find that it was 1 guy who started all this BS about the hre’s being banned. Needless to say the internet is a very power full tool and in the hand of a disgruntled rim customer it has cost HRE millions of dollars in business.
I talked to HRE’s Vice President of Operations and Engineering today and he explained that they are not banned.
First off it’s the responsibility of the race team to inspect the rims before each race and if there is a crack or something out of the ordinary they are supposed to THROW AWAY THE RIM. I know that sounds bad but it’s a race part, race parts don’t last long.
A $100,000 motor might last 1 season, maybe less. Do they ban the motor manufacturer, NO; they build a new motor for next season. That’s racing.
As far as BANNED, ALL WHEELS ARE BANNED regardless of what brand they are...
If they have a sticker on them that sea they are OVER 2 YEARS OLD.
The racing commissions decided that’s old enough for race wheels.
Try to find evidence of 9 out of ten failures. Real evidence not what 1 PERSON posted on the internet to be true. There is no evidence. They can run in any event as long as there is a sticker that states the age of the rim.
HRE was going to go nuts posting a rebuttal about the statements posted by 1 PERSON and they were considering suing the guy but they decided it would make them look even worse if they looked like the big bully corporation going after the little guy. So they decided to just let it die down and go away.
They did have some trouble with some pre 1999 rims witch they made a recall on and replaced every one free of charge to the customer.
Now I got my rims second hand / new from an ebay store. So I told him there is no way for me to know how long they sat in a where house. He said to send him a pic of one of my rims and the serial number from the box and if they are pre 99 he will replace them even though I got them from a second hand source because they were brand new when I got them. On a street-car they should last as long as I have my car. He did say at my power levels I should inspect the rims once in a wile to be safe.
Well, anyone ever play the game telephone, nothing is what it starts out to be.
Now try it on the internet.
I had the gun in my mouth last knight; glad I didn’t pull the trigger.
Now spread the word, and try to help a grate company redeem its name!

Why talk to the Vice Pres. of hre?Why not talk to the racing league that supposedly banned them. Any how I can see your dismay over the subject and hope all is better now that you've talked to the Company in person. I was not trying to insight a riot or anything of the sort.
And quick search revealed=(from the VRL website first page AT THAT!)
"VRL understands that HRE has announced a Competition Series of wheels that will be allowed if HRE meets the date of manufacture labeling requirement". Funny how they didnt mention any other company.
Technically he is correct, they arent banned ANYMORE,now they've come up with a competion wheel. No they didnt let it die down and go away ,they made a competition wheel with the correct markings, and solved the problem.
I would say good info also, but it's not.Seems like I now have to take a defensive role. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

That was step one; he is the only one who has gotten back to me as of yet.
Trying to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow is sometimes easier then trying to find crap.
I don’t think you were trying to start a riot, If anything I of all people appreciate the for warning on a part that could affect my well-being. Where all bro’s here.
at a buck 90 I'd rather be thinking about the road then my rims.
