Default 18 inch Daytons on GTA

I've got an 87 GTA and have been considering buying a set of 18 inch wire spoke Daytons for it. I'd planned to get chrome rims and hubs, with gold spokes and nipples. I wondered if anyone had any pictures of similar GTA's with these rims, or if anyone would try photoshopping them onto my car?

alot of people might say they look horrible but considering the style of the stock wheels i think they will look nice. My friend has a white 97 bonneville ssei that he just threw some gold 17" wires on. He had gold nipples, but they were ugly as hell so he has some chrome 3 point spinners on there now, matches the lip. should be fine.

i could have gotten pics, but he just left for school - Kettering University. Didnt that used to be some type of GM facility?

I realize that the typical Firebird owner doesn't have much appreciation for lowriders or wire rims, but on a GTA with the gold emblems, I don't think it would look right without some gold on the rims, but there isn't a whole lot of point in going to a BBS or something like that, because they are hardly any different than a stock GTA. I want to make it clear i am not wanting to put on little 13's sticking out of fenders with whitewalls on them, but i think a properly sized dayton could look wicked on it.

Before mesing with the wheels I think you need to adjust your seat so you can see over the dash. Looks like you are hanging on to the door so you don't fall backwards in the first pic to posted

Just messin with ya, I'm a fan of the stockers on those cars. I had one back in the day but mine where black with chrome lips and nothin looked better to me.

Don't worry, I normally have my seat adjusted properly.... I was just being a jackass with the seat at a gangsta lean to make a stupid picture. But, back to what has been suggested... those evo's look kick-*** but i think i like the stock wheels just as well. To be honest, I haven't seen a set of rims on a GTA that I like any better than the stockers, that's why i was hoping i could get a picture of one with some larger gold wire rims, or have someone photoshop them onto mine. As for the centerlines.. they look good on a car without the gold emblems, but i have no interest in getting them for my car.

Nice job, Arachnotron. I wasn't thinking of going quite that big though, I'm not trying to go for the Escalade look. I am still unsure if they'd look decent in real life.

Here is more along the lines of what i am thinking. Note: no white wall vogue tires, and totally different backspacing than a lowrider style rim.

I still dont think it will look that bad, my friends bonneville came with wheels strikingly similar to the wheels you currently have, and when he bought the wires i thought "this guy is losing his mind..." but when they wen on, it really didnt have the lowrider look i expected, and being that they were normal sized (17") wheels and not 13"s i ended up looking pretty decent, especially since his car was white.
