Default What has to be done to fit 17 X 11 in the Rear...

Im about to go with a Procharger FI setup and was thinking about tryin to get a little more rubber on the ground in the rear. I was wanted to know what all has to be done in order to run 17 X 11's in the rear. I figure some spacing, but Im not sure what all everyone has done. If someone could give me parts and a brief procedure Id appreciate it.

Is it worth doing everything to get them to fit or should i just stay with the 9.5: width?

just stick with 9.5 get 275 , on good nittos , that ll be enough
plus they will fit, wont have to worry about modding other stuff, rubbing in corner,etcc....

Mine went on with no trouble and no rubbing at all. I have the Sumitumo 315's which run a bit narrower than some others, but they are fine. Nitto's are about the same in width. Now 315 BFG's will reguire a little thumping with a BFH! But from what I hear not too bad. Hope this helps and good luck.

315's look right at home on these cars.

Some 315's run pretty narrow (Nitto 555r) and some are pretty damn fat (GSD3's). The type of tire/offset you have will determine how bad you are going to rub. Just put aside one day to BFH your fenderwells, roll the fenderlips up, and get your PHR dead centered (just like Xsta Z 28 said), and you will be fine. THe BFH and PHR adjusting is the easy part, but rolling the fender lips up is a little more tricky. Refer to this these threads I just made about it, and do some more searching:

My buddy just put 17" X 11" ZR1 on the back of his 99' Z28 with zero rubbing issues, no spacers. He runs the 315 Nitto DR out back.

My Fikse/Nitto setup didn't even require cutting the bump stops.

The look alone is worth it.

Do a search on 315's, put my name in the search maybe, I have covered the topic a gazillion times.
