Default BFGoodrich G-Force KDW, New Tread vs. Old Tread?

So I rethought my desicions to buy the traditional g-force sports and decided I want to go with the KDW for better handling.

I'm not sure if I should go with the new tread or old though.

Let me know what you guys think.

Here is a link.

I got 2 KDW's for my back tires from NTB. They didn't have the new tread, but i'm very happy with the apperence of the old tread..

I used to run the KDW tires up front. Would corner much better than the stock F1's but can't offer a comparison other than they're superior IMO to the stock Goodyears.

The "new" vs "old" tread IMO isnt that much of a difference. Both tires still offer the same ratings in nearly every category. And they both are about the same price too (if you can still find the old tread) so its not like going with one of the other is a clear choice.

yea i was the one that actually posted i had the kDW2's on your old thread lol... i really like them. and i have had repeated good results with BFG tires!...here's a few pic's with my new rims and the kDW2 tires! the only thing i was not too pleased about is that 255 is the widest i could get for the 17" rim...(my fronts) but my 295/35's on the rear 18's looks really mean!

The main difference I think is the appearance and I like the old tread much better than the new.

You can't get the new tread design in the 275 or 285 17 inch sizes. I have run a lot of the different tires in this category -- F1 GS, KDWS, KDW (traditional tread), KDW (new tread -- on a different car), KDWS, Pilot Sport, and the Firehawks. The BFG line is very good. The KDW gives the best performance overall in my opinion since the KD isn't exactly a great rain tire and the tread life is fairly short.
