Widest tire for a C6 with a 20x11 What is the widest tire you can fit on a C6 with a 20x11? My buddy bought some wheels and tires and they put a 275!!! on that 11inch rim.

my buddy has a C5 with some 19x11 rims and he has a 345 tire on the rear. thing looks SICK. i don't believe he had any fitment problems, but that's a C5, and i don't know how much has changed from C5 to C6. i know the C6 Z06 has a 325...or is it 335? one of the two, i forget. same friend with the C5 has a C6 Zo6 right now too.
i can't believe a 275 would stretch that far! i bet it looks kinda goofy and "stretched/ricer look" with that size tire on such a huge rim!

Had the same damn thing happen to me. Before I knew any better I went to Merchant Tires and told them I needed the widest tire available for a 17x11 rim. I dropped the car off and the rims new in box. Picked it up later and they had 245/45/17 on the 9.5's up front and 275/40/17 on the 11's in the rear. Didn't know any better at the time so I rode around for about 6 months look'n like a ***'n idiot before fellow F-bodians started pointing it out to me and schooling me in the right direction. Felt stupid as **** at the time but more so pissed as hell because I wasted nearly $800.00 on tires that I couldn't recoop. ***'n Merchants. I've never been back since and never will.
