Default Gforce sport vs KDW

I need some input on the GForce Sport and the KDW. Which would you go for? What tire hooks the best? What is the difference between the KDW and KDW2

if you want a tire that grips go with the KD, but out of those i would choose the KDW, unless you just want the cool tread design(KDW2)

I have the KDW tires. I like them. The Gforce sports spun to easily on my buddies prelude before it had the turbo put on so I decided against those. I paid $600 for all four tires mounted and balanced in a 275/40/17.

KDW over G-Sport. I had both and there is no comparison for traction and handling. And the KDW are actually quieter when new. The 2 just means it has the new tread pattern (NT) vs. the traditional tread pattern (TT). And I believe the tread pattern is generally size specific, meaning there is only one tread pattern for each tire size. I spoke with a BFG engineer the other day and he said other than the tread pattern, the KDW and KDW2 are the same design.

Ranked from least traction to most:

G-Force Sport = "Ultra High Performance Summer"
T/A KDW(2) = "Ultra High Performance Summer"
T/A KD = "Extreme Performance Summer"

The primary difference between the KDW(2) and the KD is the wet traction. The KDW ("Dry and Wet") will be the superior performer when there is water on the road.

Personally I think the KDWII is ugly. I got KDWI's and like them. KD's are awesome but they are really exspensive and won't last as long as KDW's. I wouldn't put the all season ones on my car.

Hi there White99, like ScrappyJack has the ratings, along with the BFG DRs which is what I got but 0 treadwear is the best traction. You won't get but 4k miles if that. I had the KDW NTs on all fours and let me tell you, you won't find a better tire in the rain than the NTs. When I had them on the rear, I could push it a little and they'll stick on the wet roads! I swear, it suprised me! The KDW and KDW NTs are about the same except for the wet weather conditions. Hope this helps, Later
