Cant Fit my 17x11 ZR1s !!! Help!
I just got some 17x9.5 and 17x11 Black ZR1s for my NBM SS and I put the 17x11 wheel on and it doesnt fit. It hits the bump stop. Isnt supposed to fit without problems ???? I guess now I have to cut the bump stop. Is there anything else I can do ??? Do you guys think its because my car is in the air and thats why its not going in ?
Anyone with 11s in the back want to comment please ?

i had the same problem with my TTM's, . DON"T cut your bumpstops, they are there for a reason, . you probably lifted the car up from the frame and that puts the frame and the wheel in a position that prohibits the wheel from sliding on, if you lift the car from the axle you will avoid this akward position . . the offset is different on the zr1's then on the ttm's which i believe will cause your wheel to be closer inside the wheel well, . . in this case, . . see if it rubs on anything, . if it does, grab a mallot and pound in the area so there will be no rubbing . .

I had the same problem. You will have to center the axle with the PHR, and lift the car from the rear. I tried the BFH mod with no luck. That wheelwell is strong! I know you can get SLP bumpstops that give you more clearance. I've also read here about people cutting their bumpstops in half IIRC. Regardless, it will fit.

I have 17X11 zr1's on my 2002 z-28 and the bumpstop IS an issue. For my dad and I both, the best solution was to cut the bumbstop off completely and make a new bracket that mounts the bumpstop in about 1-1/2". Then just weld the bumpstop back on and it shouldn't be an issue. Along with the bfh mod and a panhard rod, there is no more rubbing on mine or my dads. Good luck.

i guess i got lucky with mine then. i have a 99 ss and i have no issue at all. i have 315 nittos on my 11inch rims and i know they run alil thinner then most, but i have had a true 315 on the back of my car too and i never had a problem with them either. i didnt have to do a bfh mod or a panhard rod. i dont know......

i just took my wheels off the other day on a lift, and when i set it back down the bumpstop caught on the top lip of the wheel and wouldn't let the rear suspension down, they have to be put on with the axle around ride height

Well mine are an issue but I figure I 'll just jack the car by the Rear end and thats it. It only rubs the rim if I jack the jack up from another point besides the rear end.
Thanks for everyones help!!!

Guys its been awhile since I got my rims and I still have a problem.
I centered my rear and the lip of the bump stop still manages to hit my inner rim whenever I go into a pot hole or I make a sharp turn.
Would it be safe to just hammer the inner wheel well by the bump stop and try to push it just a little bit in ????
I need all the tips I can get!

Does it sound like a scrape when you go around a corner to fast or hit a big bump? I bought the same set of wheels. I have a regualar panhard bar though. Mine only seems to scrape if I cut the wheel and take a turn at mach 1. I need to get under the car and figure it out too. My car is stock ride height. The wheels look ****** sick though.
