Ran car w/ ET streets
Ran car w/ ET streets So I bolted on some 15/8 prostars with 26/11.5/15 ET Streets yesterday and took the car to the track. Tires are dead hooking and now the car is bogging.
Its an a4 w/ 3:73's and a SY 3500 yank converter. I went from 1.8 60ft with nittos to 2.0 with the ET's. WTF! What gears/converters are you guys running with Et streets or drags.

If they are hooking that good then add some more tire pressure, thats what I would do.

I had a SY3500 and the car cut 1.76 but that was all. It just wasn't a big hitting convertor off the line n/a. Now throw a 75 shot on it and it will wake up. I say go with more presure in the tires. That is about all you can do unless you have the $ for a bigger convertor.

Good luck with it. I don't think the 4.10's are what you need to 60ft better. That convertor was made to hit softly and not fry tires. I would say get the ss4000 after watching several local cars her just wake up. One lady here put it in hers (I can't remember what convertor she had before) and it cut's 1.50 60fts on 17" M/T drag radials and cam only. That is one killer convertor. I still think the more psi is all that will help you right now. Just air them up high and you can always take them dow. Let us know how it does. Later...

Update Ran car at track last night and had better results. 20 psi in the tires, N20 on at 2000. 1.74 60ft., 7.74 @ 90.15.
Im gonna leave that converter in for a while to see how it reacts to a cam. Cam comming in a couple weeks.
