Yeah, the water spots on my paint get pretty brutal. I had to use Scratch X to remove them. Never had waterspots like this in the south. Noxon works great, but I said screw the polished wheels up here. My car stays under a cover, but when it snows the salt still gets all over the wheels. The bolts on my HRE's are starting to get surface rust. I have a set of black Z06 wheels to put on as soon as my tires get in.

Thanks for the awesome write ups. I will for sure use the noxon/polish of choice procedure now. I bought polish from griots garage magazine and I will let you guys know how good a job it does. Griots really talked this stuff up so I am interested in how well it does on its own as well.

I've found my magic combo guys. My search is over.
Have you used that combination of protectants before? I am interested in the long term results.

Never have. The protectant two-step is going to be a first time thing as well. Didn't get to get it on the wheels yet. Planning on polishing the wheels out really well in the next few weekends then throw the protectant on there once I get the Clear Seal in.

Hey guys, I was at Lowes yesterday and I couldn't find any Noxon 7. What dept. is it in? I'm going to Gator Drag tomorrow, and I wanna try it out on my Bonspeeds before I leave.

I found it in the aisle that had all the cleaning supplies and stuff. There were a few different brands of metal polish. You can also order it online, just google it.

OK fellas, here is what happens to your stock polished ws6 rims when you put your car away for the winter, and you forget to wash the salt off of it.

And below are pics of the lineup used to clean them up, and of the before and after pics. Looks pretty good to me! Got everything at advanced auto parts.

I use Meguiars hot rims chrome wheel cleaner for my z06 wheels. That stuff will cut pretty much anything off and leaves wheels very shiney.

ya your z06s are most likely chrome....DO NOT use that stuff on polished aluminum nor almost any spray on wheel cleaner as it will discolor and stain your finish and could also leave permanant damage.

i didnt use hardly any at all. Just rub it around untill it turns black, then half *** buff it off
then follow with your favorite polish, and buff that off to a nice shine!

Im interested in seeing who went with getting their CCWs chromed and how they looked. There is a local guy that'll do it for $100.00 a wheel.

i don't know if i sound stupid, but i was wondering if you used rain-x on pollised wheels if it would help with the cleaning or water spots, any insight? (it just works so well on windows)

The local lowes and home depot didn't have noxon 7 in my area. I was lucky though and found some at advanced auto. I hope I never have to use it but I am sure I will get caught in the rain eventually.

On the topic of waxing your wheels, has anyone tried to protect them with Zaino? The only thing I use is Zaino and I was wondering how this would hold up against something like the Rejex system.

I use Zaino on my Fikse rims, but have to put it on every couple of weeks. I also wipe them down every couple of days. The price of nice looking rims.
