BFGoodrich G-Force KD's and the rain.
Ok, I have spoken to alot of people that say KD's are bad in the rain, and shouldn't be used etc. Well I thought I'd share my experience, for those of you that live in Oklahoma, you will know that yesterday (Friday) we had some pretty bad flooding and some HEAVY rain, that coupled with our wagon trail excuses for roads can lead to a pretty treacherous drive home in any kind of sports car.
My drive home from work is about 20 miles and it was pouring from the time I left to the time I got home, I actually had to back out of the parking lot to avoid going nose first into the lake that was on the road in hopes to not hydro lock my engine. I would like to say that I had ZERO issues in the rain (we're not talking like a 4.6 NA Ford motor type rain, we're talking LS1 type rain, the king of rain), or though the 8 inches of water that I drove through (given I went through that slow because again, I don't want to suck that stuff up), my car was just fine at speed and never had a hydroplaning issue. So there is my review, I'm confident in my KD's!

Good to hear man....as you know I just got the same tires and am more than happy with them in the dry. I live in Florida...and we got some nice T-Storms around here. For the most part rain shouldn't be an issue for me since I just drive my truck when it rains, although that thing isn't the most stable thing to drive in the rain either since it does have the mighty GM I5 with 220 hp and 220 tq, and 3.73 gears!
How are your tires wearing so far? How many miles do you have on them and how badly do you abuse them?

Yeah....I am totally sold on these bad boys. The traction I have now is unbelievable, makes my car a lethal street racing weapon, kinda scares me...now I want to race anything that lines up next to me when before I wouldn't since I knew I'd just spin. Totally new world now.

From a roll my car feels incredible, but from a dig I still just spin, stupid stalled cars! Lol. Its not gonna get any better either, I'm scheduling it in for a bigger cam (I want at least 440 RWHP), gears, slightly stronger 10 bolt, TQ arm, sway bar, and some HAL's. We'll see how the KD's do then!
Lol, nice work!
EDIT: MannyZ28, here are some pics of my tires of today, they look lower than they are for some reason though?? Anyway. (Sorry about the quality, best my lil blackberry can do)
