Default 17x11 ZR1 + BFG KD = BFH Time!

I had Nittos on my 17x11 ZR1 rims and had no real issues with rubbing but then I put on some BFG Geforce KD's and I had no choice but to hammer in the inner fender. I think I also need to make an adjustment to my panhard but with nearly no clearance on either side, the hammer is the way to go.

You're not kidding.

To fit the BFG's on my car, I did the BFH, welded the bump stops about 1/2" further in, and adjusted my panhard bar to make it all fit.

All I can say is the traction is well worth it.

There are plenty of tires in the 315/35R17 size. Check out TireRack as well.

at $287 installed, I was jumping all over that compared to the $511 + install + tax (14%) I was going to be charged where I live.

Even after exchange rate, that's 511 + 40 install x 14% = $628

after exchange $594 USD

For $574 I got 2 tires installed near Detroit.

Nitto 555 should fit without any mods needing the BFH.

I played around with my adjustable panhard rod after I had them on and ended up with driver's side rub on hard launches. I should have checked clearance when I was moving the rear around but I was trying to see if I could help my wheel hop a bit.

With the BFG KD, some hammering where it rubs and some panhard adjustment I got it nearly perfect. The only reason my car was rubbing was under hard launch or with two extra people in the car and even then it was on the tread edge, not the sidewall. I put in a good 1000 miles on it while it was rubbing like that with no ill effects other than seeing polished metal. I've since banged it in, used brake caliper paint as a primer and re sprayed it black. I'll rubber undercoat it in a few days once I know it's not touched anymore under all driving conditions.
