Default 285 size tires on a 10.5 wide rim look alright?

anyone have a 285 size tire on a 10.5in. wide rim? I got a good deal on a set of tires but don't want it to look stupid. If you have any pics please post them up. Thanks

Me personally I've had a 295 on a 10" wide rim and the sidewalls filled it perfectly. Im not sure how a 285 would look on a little wider rim. I would think the tire would look small on the rim.

What brand of tire? I have 295-35 BFG KDWs on 10.5" wide rims. I wouldnt want to go smaller. I 285-35 Goodyear GSD3 would probably fit nice because of how wide they run.

I also have 295/35 on a 10.5" rim. I would not go smaller. These look too small as is.

I agree, 285 on a 10" rim; 295 on a 10.5" rim.

I'm running 285s on 10" rims. I was running 295s and they seemed to fit well also, but when it came time to change, there are more choices in 285/19 than 295/19. Cost is a bit less as well.

I have 295s and if anything you should go bigger. Mine are vredestein and they fit perfect, fill the lip nicely. Just dont be afraid. Go for it.

/\ I've heard nitto's run a bit wider, but it seems like 285 would belong on a 9.5

I had 285/35 michelin pilot sports on 18x10.5's... Looked nice, but I definately could have used a tad more tire
