Default HP Evo owners come inside.... questions!

I am in the market for some new wheels and am entertaining the HP Evo's in gloss black face with the chromed lip only. I am interested in the 18x8s up front and 18x9s out back and would immediately ship the 2 rears out to get widened to 18x10.5. Now I have a few questions. I searched and could not find any info i was looking for so i'm coming here.

- Those with the 18x8/18x9 combo... how does the 18x9 wheel sit in the wheel well? Does it sit in like a stock wheel, or kicked out towards the lip a little more? I am hoping to add 1.5" to these wheels and run the MT 305/35/18 DR without having to run any spacers.

- Where are you guys purchasing these wheels? I've been keeping my eye out on Fleabay but there hasnt been anything good for our bolt pattern. Any good dealers out there or sponsors carry them?

- Is the lip sizes 2" for the 18x8s and 3" for the 18x9's?

Thank you!

-Jon

stock WS6/SS wheels are 9" wide front/rear. Why not just get 18x9 front and rear?

I like the smaller wheel up front with less lip.

you might need hub rings to center the wheel, you know that right?

Because the wheels are hubcentric. Our cars are not made to accept these wheels without the adapter ring. It's a must.

What is the tire size that you have on your rear wheels?

Did you need to use he ring adapter as well?

I just am wondering why people say it is a MUST since the wheels are not a perfect fit, yet many don't use them.

You have the 18x9s?

I think I want to go with the 275/40 instead of the 275/35 as I do not plan on lowering, and the extra meat will help in my case...

its impossible to sit a wheel on a hub perfectly if the hole for the hub is much larger then the hub. imagine a wheel spinning off axis. it makes for some annoying vibrations. center the wheel around the hub, and it will spin true. its quite simple actually

Ive had mine on and off several times and never had problems. Just snug them first then torque them. I remember reading about this before I bought them and was concerned but I guess it was coming from people who never had them.
