Default Whats available in a 245/50/16?

I need two new tires and with my added torque i need something thats gonna get some amount of traction, im spinning at half throttle in second at the moment. these are on my stock wheels that see my winter use.

im having trouble finding a good performance tire in that size. how bad is a summer performance tire gonna be in the winter? is that something i should just avoid doing and stick to an all season? when it snows im just not going to drive.

Should i just stick to an all season? if so, whats a good all season tire in that size? or if im careful, whats a good summer performance tire that comes in that size?

looking for opinions from people with 450ish tq who drive in the winter on a 245 tire

youre **** out of luck. The only tired that will give you remotely good traction in the size is a 255/50 drag radial.. All summer tires are going to suck in winter and you have a lot of hp..

If you can find pirelli pzero M+S in that size (255 or 245) that would be your best bet.. Make sure theyre the M+S should be high performance all season.. Of course this is my opinion from personal use and personally i dont think youll find a tire thats good in both for your hp.

Those are what I wanted a few years ago. Pirelli said they were going to produce them in our stock, OEM size (245/50 16), but NEVER did (nor ever will).

You could try the brand new BFG G force Super Sport all seasons. I spoke to their compounding tech and he told me that they will definitely be better in the cold than summer UHP/Max tires. But with that much power, you are S.O.L., even with a fairly sticky, street summer UHP/Max performance tire in the hot summer, in the stock size (except for the afforementioned MT ET street radials, which I don't consider a 'street' tire even though many on here do).

I don't have 450ish tq, just a 3000 stall, and I can tell you that the only tire that will help you is the 255 MT DR. Summer tires in winter are a joke - they become ultra-slippery below about 40*. But I've driven my Mickeys in the cold and they stay grippy. Amazing tires.

You just can't run them in the rain or snow. Keep a pair of all seasons on an extra set of wheels around for that. Look at some of the ultra high performance all seasons on Tire Rack. As long as it's dry, you can run Mickeys and nothing will compare to them.

yeah youre not going to get winter traction without sacrificing dry traction.

50 series tires are hard to find and generally cost more because of it. You could try going to a 255/45/16 which might yield more results.
