I just soaked a ton of cabbage into go-go parts for the ride, now I gotta put the HP to the ground... The thought of buying 400 bucks worth of slicks, 600 bucks worth of rims, and another 400 bucks for 315's is leaving me a little nauseous.
Anybody have suggestions on where I can save a few bucks? I'm not too concerned about the slicks, I can work that out, but I'd like to find a good deal on the rims and tires either together or separate.
Know of anyplace that might work out a good deal on a set of 17x11 chrome ZR-1's with 315/35/17 BFG KDs mounted?? That would be awesome.
TIA

Thanks for the advice, but I did check ebay. There really isn't much out there unless you want good rims with shitty tires, or take-offs with the wrong offset...
I don't mind to buy new, I just want a better deal than $1,200 bucks.

i got 2 17x11 and 2 17x9.5 chrome Zr1's brand new for my SS because i had those crappy 10 spokes on it before. i got them off ebay for a bomb price. they are AFS (autum fleet sales)and retail for $1500 on the internet and the bid started at $700 the bid closed out with me winning them for $810 plus shipping and handling. i threw the $165 bfg dr 315/35/17 on rear and had my old khumo on the front. they look bad *** and they were a great price. look on ebay and type in zr1 17x11 and some should pop up.

Anyone...
I think I read on another forum that the AFT ZR1's are not finished on the back side and probably why they are cheaper (less machine work).
Anyone have a set of these rims and is the back side that bad or noticeable.
I have a 98Z with the chrome spokes and they are chromed on both sides. Looks much better IMO.
But want to get a set of ZR1's mixed (9.5 front and 11 rear) and AFS is only place I can find that seems to be reasonably priced (compared to SLP stock 17 X 9's for all four...$1099).
I would get the SLP's but want 11's on the rear and don't want to go with an unmatched set. I want to run 315 Nittos all of the time (2000 miles annually).
Any suggestions...just want chromes or polished ZR11's.
One person suggested to get the painted AFS's which are machined on the back side and strip the paint and polish them myself (the set is less than $600...but don't know how many hours or tools required to get a good polish).

nah.. polished sux, been there, done that.. Check out www.wheelreplicas.com
They are cheaper than AFS, and the product carries the same warranty, and looks just as good.

Oh yeah and also my friend got the podercoated black zr1s from afs off ebay 17X11 backs and 17X9 fronts for like 795 and afs is the only company that sells the correct offset for the back wheels which is 52mm I believe.

The offset is for the rear is 50mm, and everybody and their brother sells them.
