I'm considering going from the MT275/40/17 to the MH325/45/17 since the MT295/45/17 are on backorder...

 

325/45/17 is alot taller of a tire compared to a a 275/40/17.

 

I'm very happy with the 325 M&Hs. 1.52 off the foot brake, lifting the left front. I ran the 275 MTs, but hated them. Way too short for my combo. Car would just roast them at any speed below 40 mph.

Same here, they let go once at 50ish and I barely kept it on the road...

Any big fitment issues? Track times?

 

Wow that is completely oppisite for me. I have a very similar combo as you except a ms4 and a 4400 stall and am cutting 1.45-1.49 very consistently on 275 mickeys.

 

Just to be clear your talking about the 275/40/17 mickeys and not the 15" ones...

 

Lythropus - have you looked into Hoosier's? They seem to be getting good results.

 

Yep. I also had good luck with the 315/35/17's

 

It's a daily driver and 3 lines just isn't going to cut it. I've heard of people having them grooved but that's alot of work for a pair of tires.

By the way how are the 325mh's compared to the 275mt's in the rain?

 

has to fit on a 17 by 9 firehawk rim...so those are out...

I ran those on the stock Ws6 17x9's on a recommendation from the tire shop up here.

 

I drove to the track in light to moderate rain and lived to tell about it. No "come to Jesus" moments, but the tires were almost new.

ordered the 295/45's, should be here by the 29th...

 

I called summit and ordered the 295/45's about a week ago, the operator said they would be in on the 29th of march so I figured I could wait that long. I just checked the website and it says the expected ship date is JUNE THE 1ST! So I called and another operator confirmed it!

WTF?

 

i WOULD NOT DRIVE an MT radial in the rain at speeds over 45mph. even that is unsafe.
