TTII's, 315's and Heater hose mod
I received my TTII's from Tomzwheels today.. They came mounted with 275 and 315 Vredestein's. I decided to do heater hose mod while I had the wheels off.
I was going to do Stano springs and Koni's but I am not sure about the springs now. I still want Koni's and I might try the lower perch to bring the front down a little but I think the back looks pretty good and the 315's don't rub anywhere.
The first pic is how they arrived from Tomz, very well packaged and protected, mine came Fedex.
The middle one in the top row is how a 315 compares to the stock 245 I had on.
The next pic is the spring and isolator removed from car. I supported body on jack stands then jacked up the rear a little and removed the 21mm nut (13/16 works also) at the bottom of the shock (1rst pic on second row) on both sides. Then pulled the shock away from the mount and lowered rear. The springs come right out (note the pigtail on bottom of spring points forward) and the isolator will come out with it or you will have to reach up and knock it loose.
The last pic on the top row shows the 5/8 I.D. heater hose installed on top coil of spring. I then reinstalled both springs jacked up rear end enough to match up with shock mount bolts and remounted shocks.
After that I installed the new wheels/tires. So far I love 'em. The Vredesteins ride great, I can't wait till I get to put some Koni's on but for now the ride is much better.

You take out the rubber isolator(seen in pic 4) and put a piece of heater hose around the first coil on the spring(pic 5). Usually lowers the rear by 1/2 inch or so
