Had my wheels widened
by Wheels America in Dallas TX. 214-330-9866
Ordered the wheels from TomZ and had them shipped direct to wheels america.. WHeels america received them, widened them and I received them just 1 week after they did.
They look GREAT!
$200/wheel + $20 shipping/wheel.
They just cut off the inner lip of the existing wheels and welded on a new lip that was 2" longer.

American Racing Rebels, from 17x9 to 17x11, putting 17x11 on all corners.
According to all my research, they are just fine to hold up to the toughest racing abuse, which would mean definately ok for highway driving.
The weld is very clean and well penetrated. I doubt its strength was weakend any less. I still think the weak point will be the wheel studs.

Tony, I run the high $$$ stuff on my race car.
I still consider my formula and vette "driver" cars.. so they do see rain.. and with time as short as it is, I don't want a wheel I have so much $$$ in that I feel the need to clean it every weekend.
However, if/when I do want some fikse's or CCW's I'll definately contact you.
Speaking of weights, I just put one of these on the scale and they came in at 28 lbs. Curios, what woudl a 17x11 fikse FM5 weigh in at?
