I mean my vw horn and bmw horn sound decent, i'm not talking air horns, but geez my friends hyundai elantra sounds the same.
I truly enjoy honking at people who don't understand it doesn't take 10 seconds to go when the light turns green or do stupid ****.
Anyone replaced their horn with something, more suited to the car?

I just replaced mine this weekend. I got these blaster horns from Autozone for about $15 each. They have the stock tones but are louder.

I bought a pa system from JC whitney and put it in my impala. In the summer we drive around my friends neighborhood and play the ice cream man song. All the little kids run outside with money all exited then we take off. Children are so gullable.

I replaced mine with a set of airhorns from a Ferrari dealer in my area. They are the same airhorns that you can get at autozone or pep boys but they are tuned specifically by Ferrari. I love it. It attracts a lot of attention and everyone turns their head. it is a very high pitched sound. To those who know what it is, it's awesome and for those that do not know what it is, they think it's a sissy sound.

Remove your passenger side headlight it is directly below it. Can't miss it. It is hold in by one bolt really not to difficult. One bolt to remove the headlight another to get the horn out. I am not sure what other work is involved if you just wanted to replace the low/high tone. Real simple setup you will be able to figure it out.

I've gone through three to four horns already as one of the horns on the dual horn system on our cars usually goes out and yes when this happens the horn is barely audible. The easiest way I found to determine if both horns are working is to open the hood, put your hand on one of the two horns just below the battery and press your door lock button on the remote to activate the horn. Do this for each horn and you can easily determine if both of the horns are working or not. Hope this helps.
