I'm running a 13" stock style antenna and I love it. The bitviper antenna IMO just doesn't go with the car.

Go to a junk yeard and find one off another GM. Cut that puppy to whatever length you want and then just reattach that little ball thingy to the top of it again.

the ebay antennas are so cheap though. I cut my stock one at first but didn't cut it as much as I should have and the ball was kind of a PITA to put on so I just went and bought one from ebay for like $12.

I'd go with the BitViper but there are so many f-bodys in my area (not on LS1tech though) and I'm worried that it wouldn't last a week before it got stolen off my car.

I think I'm going to go with the cheapo one off of eBay.

Thanks Guys.

I just got one of the generic ones off of eBay too for like $12 shipped. I went with the 18" because the 12" just looked too short IMO. I can't tell ANY difference in reception between the stock and 18" antenna...

That's what I did too. I got the 8 incher. Scheduled to be delivered in the mail today. We'll see how the reception goes. Luckily I only listen to the radio for the news. I'm a CD guy.

Thank you all.

I got it in the mail and on the car yesterday (8" off eBay). Cost me $12 shipped. The reception is good (a little static on the stations from far away). That was one of the cheapest mods that make the car look a lot younger, those big antennas are a thing of the past now.

Now when I see a camaro with a stock antenna I can't believe how tall they are. I believe they are like 30". The 12" (i think) one I got is perfect because the top of it basically lines up with the top of the car.

Sounds like the 18"... 4 inches taller than mine now would still be shy of the top. JMO.

Thats exactly what I like about it too! The fact that it lines up with the top of the car.

I got the 12$ one off eBay too.

Shorty Antenna the easy ans cheap way.

Take antenna cut down to desited length. go to Ace hardware and get a rubber cap to cover the cut end.

Finished
Cost $.05
