How to mount monsoon cd changer Just bought a 2002 collectors edition TA but it did not have the 12 disc monsoon cd changer in the trunk. After buying one off e-bay I want to install and mount it correctly so it looks like it is an original one. Does anyone have pics or directions of this. Thanks in Advance.

When the optional CD changer was factory installed, it had brackets welded to the floor in the cubby area. You can buy those brackets from the dealer if you're good at welding. A simpler option is to put a piece of plywood under the carpet and screw the side brackets through the carpet into the wood. Going through the carpet keeps the brackets from moving and the wood provides ample support. Once installed, you can't tell that there's a piece of wood there so it looks like a factory installation.
I'll try to get you a picture tonight.
My 12 disc is still giving me an E33 error, so its nothing more than dead weight at the moment. If I can't get it "serviced," you can have my hardware if I decide to ditch it.

I followed the suggestion of placing a piece of wood under the carpet and it worked fantastic!! It looks like factory install!! I <3 LS1Tech
It was still fresh in my mind since I just installed it the other week. I'll hook you up with some pics when I get a chance if someone else doesn't chime in before then.But can you control it with your steering wheel controls...?
