I've got a 2000 Camaro SS with the Monsoon and replacement speakers from Ian.
At random times, normally after startup seems worse when it's "cool to cold" outside... but has acted up in the heat.
Ian believes it to be a BCM issue related to solder points on the control board. Note, my PCM board is not like Ian's so I dont know what 5 points need attention.
I have pics & I have emailed them to Ian, but I dont believe I have enough posts to put up pics on the board.

Haven't gotten the email for some reason. I just checked. I did however get the facebook message but it won't allow me to copy the picture off the message so I can upload it. ARG!!
His BCM board is completely different then mine but of course mine is a coupe and his car is a vert so it is possible that there is a significant difference in the 2??!!
Whitebird...maybe you can chime in on this one as I am at a loss. As soon as I can I will get that picture of his BCM up.

That being said here's a picture of what mine looks like and the joints that people have had concern about circled. I only saw micro cracks in mine on 3 and resoldered just those. I have not had a problem since then at all with the radio turing on and off with the windows not working at the same time. Anyway here's the picture of what mine looks like:

Big joints like that are some kind of power device
and probably not tolerant of poor / intermittent
resistance added by solder cracking. Also likely
under a lot of repetitive thermal stress in use.

Does anybody know where the points are that control the interior lights? Mine just flash every once in a while when I have the door open. Same thing when I try to turn them on using the switch over by the headlight **** with the doors closed, it just flashes every minute or so. Has to be a BCM problem. I resoldered the T joints that everybody else has and that fixed the radio.
