I need a car alarm pager. I just want a cool pager system to add on to my factory "2 horn beeps" one. I dont want the whole alarm system, just a paging device with the cool LCD display on a key ring maybe, I know they make these that can just wire in to the factory system but i dont know where to look. Any help is appreciated.

i dont beleive you can do that, you would need to get a new alarm system for this. and most likely you will need to get an anti theft bypass modules (about 50 bux) then i would go with a matrix 3.5 (go to DEI electronics to read more about it) it will run you about 400-500 bux installed

I would recommend if you want a paging system to look into DEIs alarm/remote start with a paging system. It works great can start your car or alert you up to a half mile away. Plus the factory alarm is barely a alarm. Its mearly a siren hooked up to the dome light. If you really like your car invest in a real alarm.

For the effort/labor required to add that kind of system, you might as well get a complete alarm. The clifford matrix RSX3.5 is a remote start paging alarm. You can get them for around 499 installed. Add to that the dei 555L for your VATS system and your set for around 550 installed. This alarm is MUCH better then the factory "system".

its a viper alarm system....i believe is a 760xvi.....i have it.....its got it all remote start tilt shock sensors cut off switch for ignition and fuel, and a shock audio sensor....it reaches 2 miles....shows me exactly what is happening to my car at all times! i love it

like I said in my original post the matrix 3.5, probably the best alarm on the market (i am a certifed DEI seller, as well as MECP certified) the clifford's are sold as install only meaning they need to be professionally installed, also, the remote is an FM remote......meaning it will give you greater distance....
as a side note, most shops will try and sell you relay's and extra wire (usually adds up to almost 50 bux after it is all said and done) but the matrix 3.5 is complete, the only thing you will need is the bypass module, dont let them sell you anything else
