Default Anyone have the Kenwood KVT-696 flip-up headunit?

I'm thinking about upgrading my old Alpine flip-out head unit to a newer model. I kinda like the Kenwood KVT-696 and was wondering if anyone had it? If so, how is it? This is the link to the one I'm thinking about purchasing. It's kind of pricey, but it does have navigation.

I really don't want a 2 DIN unit, I really like my Humount "Trans Am" trim piece and would like to keep that.

For a flip out , you have to be careful because most of times the flip motor gears are plastic and wear out quickly.

Be careful with that unit. It has to come out a good 6 inches to clear the screen and then flip upwards and then go back. It's a lot of movement from a flip out. That's the only reason I didn't get that one. I've had my regular flip out for going on five years with daily use and no motor problems.

I think I've decided against the Kenwood. I like the Pioneer AVH-P6300BT better, it supports SD cards and Divx.

I ditched that pioneer for the kenwood. Never looked back. Plus the pioneer is ugly..too idk blocky I guess and that thick trim on the bottom of the screen is hideous.

I'm not too crazy about the design either. However, both screen sizes are 7".

True. I just couldn't stand the pioneer. Brand new and looked dated like some of their first flip-outs.

I too was thinking of a flip out..but I just don't want my ac vents blocked ..and I also have my fan controls just above the radio. I settled for a kenwood DNX-7180.
Will be ordering a double dmods bezel on monday. Just my opinion..post some pics when you get it installed..!
