Head unit problem I am having problems with my head unit not coming on. Sometimes it turns on when I turn the key, other times it doesn't and it takes a few minutes and then decides to turn on. I figured the head unit was just going out so yesterday I went out and spent $100 on a new one. Installed it and the same thing happens 
Does this sound like a ground wire to you guys? I hope I'm not going to have to do anything drastic for this one....thanks in advance

another thing to look for is... Does it act crazy when you go over rough pavement? that is a dead giveaway the bcm is in need of repair....my door locks use to lock and unlock all the time while i was driving... took it in for service and they said my keyfob was bad making the locks go nuts.. lol dumbasses
check out this thread.. has pics and other links to show the repair and exactly where to look...Ive done this repair myself 3 times on other vehicles, make sure you have a good iron, not too hot or cold, a 35watt one is the best. if you hold too long or add too much solder/flux, you could get into trouble....

It appears to be fixed!! I turned the key about 30 times and it came on every time...and took a nice 15 minute drive and it never cut out. Took a pic of the circuit board after adding solder. I saw a very small crack on the bottom joint of the T-shaped group. Also heated the other joints. I hope it continues to work. Thank you very much guys

Works every time. Mine did that to. I couldn't even see the cracks in my solder joints but I redid them anyway. Problem went away. This was a long time ago but it is a common problem.
