Hit Bump... everything stops workings. as the title says, when i hit a bump my stero stops working but the weird thing is when this happens the windows will not go up or down. this just started today when i hit a bump i can do this to my gently smacking the dash above the cd player. where or what could my issue be? connection on back of my cd player seems good, its factory btw

lol..I was thinking the same thing, maybe its about that time to get rid of my factory unit, prob not even worth it to try and fix it. Question: Do you know if the BCM issues of the dash lights and radio flickering in and out will be a factor with an aftermarket unit?

There is no BCM issue with the lights. The bad solder joints affect the retained accessory power (RAP) circuit which affects the power windows and radio regardless of whether it is stock or aftermarket. It does not affect the lights in any way.
