got into my car the other day and realized the accessory ligths wont go off, then when i turn my key to the off position instead of having the 10 mintute duration where you can listen to the the radio and use the windows and locks, the radio just shuts off and you cant use your windows or locks

and the dimmer switch is not up all the way? When the dimmer switch is up all the way it clicks and turns on the interior lights and they stay on until the switch is turned back down.
I know it sounds stupid, but I did this and killed my battery (at least once)

haha yea i checked that first thing, i had to pull the fuse to get it togo off, im thinking it might be the door switch thats cuts the light on and the accessories (windows, locks) off when the door is opned but i dont know where its at

door jam switch possibly?
before starting the car with the keys in the ignition does the car ding / chime? (as it would if you left the keys in the ignition and opened the drivers door)

very possible... happened in a buddys trans am. The 93-97s used a button in the door jamb near the hinge, (maybe 98s did too, not sure) but the later 4th gens were inside the door. Not exactly sure where because I didn't fix it, but when he replaced it it did solve the problem. FWIW i believe its near the latching mechanism on the end of the door opposite the hinges
