Double Din Install, cutting the bracket help *PICS*
I just got my kit from Double D mods!!! I got the AVIC-x940BT

I've got everything set except I'm not sure on exactly where to cut the bracket that sits right above the A/C controls... I've been searching and everyone who mentions it never really says where they cut it.
I've got pics attached here, you can click em to view them bigger.
Thanks!

These are incorrect, look at WhiteBird00's post below
Z130BT = 10.3 x 13.3 x 6.5 inches
AVIC-D3 = 9.9 x 11.1 x 9.6 inches
X940BT = 13 x 10.5 x 7 inches
So it looks like mine is definitely the biggest one, by quite a bit.
I may have to cut the bottom out, since putting it up to the top it looks like it would conflict with the A/C plastic on top..

The older Pioneer AVIC-D3 is the same size (7 x 3-7/8 x 6-1/2) whereas the DNX series Kenwoods are 7-3/16" wide by 4-7/16" tall by 6-1/4" deep.
I was able to install an AVIC-D3 by merely trimming the ribs on the top edge of the opening so that they were flush. I had to cut the bottom tray to make a Kenwood DNX-5120 fit.
In all cases, you will have to bend or cut off the rear support because the aftermarket units are deeper than the stock one.
I need to make brackets now, so I'm on a quest to measure for them next.
JVC says mine is (W: 7-1/16" X H: 3-15/16" X D: 6-5/16")
