Default Amp reccomendations?

I have two 12 inch comp kicker subs (8 ohms). i need to know what amp will push these? i don't need the best of the best but just something to push them enough to thump pretty good. I am on a budget so i cant get top of the line equipment. I normally don't care much for car audio but i got these speakers at a real cheap price so why not. thanks in advance.

Hifonics has a good line of low-priced amps. I just bought one in November but haven't driven my car since installing it, but others on here have recommended them. Sonic Electronix has a couple different ones that would meet your needs. They have a BRX160.2 amp bridgeable to 1 channel at 320watts rms for $87, and a ZRX500.2 amp bridgeable to 1 channel at 500watts rms for $90. Remember you'll need an install kit, I got mine off ebay for around $20.

You can also look for a used one somewhere, just make sure that the seller is reputable. Alpine, Kenwood, & Pioneer are also decent brands at that price point (used). I always check Sonic Electronix & Crutchfield for reviews, even if I don't end up buying from them. Also, make sure to get one that is CEA-2006 compliant. That insures that their wattage rating complies with certain standards, and that its performance will live up to its rating.

Be very careful about Sonic Electronix as they sell mostly grey market product that is not covered by manufacturer warranty.

They are an authorized dealer for Hifonics products, so that shouldn't be an issue with that brand. But that is correct with Pioneer & other brands. I've ordered a lot from them and never had any issues, but then I've never had any problems with the electronics that needed to be addressed, so YMMV.

Raise your budget to about $160 and get yourself into a good Class D monoblock. Several good choices in that price range.

if they are just the comps you can work with the kicker 300.1 which should be fine for those. $150 not to high above your price range and its a good amp
