Keyless/Push Button Start kits...any experience?
I'm wanting to get one for my '61 build. I find that the Digital Guard Dawg is quite a bit more expensive than others out there. I found a thread in here about units, but it's several years old.
I'm considering the Gallotech unit.
Anyone have any thoughts or experience with any of these types of units?
[EDIT]
Not sure if I put this in the right forum. Should I post elsewhere?

Once I get started on the install, I will be posting a "how-to" in the Advanced Keys system. It seems to be a pretty good system with high reviews.
I've read generally good reviews (those that can be found), although I am aware of one complaint: support. You cannot call and talk to anyone, even before the sale...no phone numbers. The one complainer said that when he emails it's usually 2 days before he hears back.
I'll be interested to hear how it goes for you, although I likely will have decided on what' I'll go with by then.
Thanks for the input.
Just curious, as the ignition key does a couple things other than just turn on the electronics.

Many of the available remote starters are different brands from the same manufacturer... Directed Electronics produces Viper, Clifford, Python, Hornet, Autostart, Avital and a few others. Some are standalone remote starter kits and some are integrated with an alarm system.

I have Digital Guard Dawg PBSII in my '56, and overall has been a decent product. The few issues I've had have been taken care of and supported, over the phone.
I just ordered this unit from them. It is on sale for 50% off through the end of this month. It does have remote start too.

Eliminating column lock is optional (although the novelty factor is obliterated if one decides to keep the column lock).
