Hi,
I did a search and found a couple of things that helped, but nothing specific. I am trying to find out if I can buy an adapter (GM9-AUX??) to hook to the RCA out of a Kenwood Music Keg and run to the CD Changer control in a 2002 Trans Am. I plan to control the Keg through the Controller/Modulator, but I do not want to use FM modulation for the signal to get to the head unit. It is a stock monsoon head unit, No AUX button.
Thanks!
Fred

Your monsoon headunit does have an AUX button. Look at the button immediatly to the right of the CD slot. It says "CD/PLAY". Push it once for the CD in the slot and once again for the CD Changer (which can be converted for AUX input). If the CD Changer isnt hooked up, nothing happens on the second push. If you do have a the CD Changer connected, each push of the button should cycle though the devices connected although I have no personal experience with this.
The adapter you need is GM9-AUX. It is made by PIE.
I bought mine here:

It plugs into the CD Changer port in the back of the headunit and the CD Changer wire plugs into it.

I am using it with a carputer. The PIE GM9-AUX adapter allows you to connect any RCA signal into your stock head unit. So for your application, you'd probably need a mini to RCA Y Adapter. You can get that from Radio Shack.

I am assuming that since the signal is coming off of an RCA out, there is no power through the adapter. How are you guys getting power to the accessories? Also, is there any reason I would not be able to use the controller/modulator that is available for the music keg as a controller only? I plan on about 6000 songs, and I don't want to have to go through them one at a time with the head unit. I would like to use this: Controller/Modulator but only as the controller. The signal would come through the adapter, not the modulator.
Thanks!

The adapter does not provide power. I used the wires behind the radio for power.
