I read the FAQ's but I still have a question.

Default I read the FAQ's but I still have a question.

I have a bunch of stuff left over from my GTA. My pioneer H/U, pioneer 6x9's, kicker 6x9's and a kicker resolution 6.5'' component set.

I DON'T want to run a 4-channel amp...I just don't want to lose the limit storage space I have now. Is it basically pointless to throw in the H/U and some of the speakers with the stock monsoon amp? Sounds like it is but I want to hear some other first hand experiences.

Thanks

well 6x9 speaker will not fit in a newer camaro firebird. I would install the H/U and the fronts then buy more speakers in the rear. And run it all of the aftermarket H/U. More power, same space, better sound.

Yes, buypass it all together.
Also a 4 channel can be hidden, just something to think about.

You could make a board to fit in the spare tire well to mount the amp to. Hidden and out of the way.

I'm using a aftermarket hu with the monsoon and turned off all the lower bass through the hu and use my 2 10's to make up the lost bass. With the lower freq turned off the monsoon sounds good and gets louder and sounds cleaner.

That's exactly what I am doing, the Monsoon amp and speakers sound really nice with a good H/U and with the bass cut. I have a single 10" sub in the back with its own amp attached to the enclosure that I pull out when I need trunk space in the convertible. I was amazed how good the factory stuff sounded once it stopped distorting.

Since you can't adjust the stock amp gains I tailor everything from the head unit.
